TSR Update - July 30, 2007

Well, Melissa just got back from the annual meeting of The Association of Recovery Schools where she was infused with even more energy (if that’s possible!) to get the site up and running by September (National Recovery Month). As I write this, she and Tina are brainstorming for ideas to connect with people and organizations to help us finance the next phase of the project. I don’t know how many of you reading this know anything about starting up non-profit organizations, but it’s a whole lot more complex than anything I could have imagined.

TSR Update - July 19, 2007

On The Road Again

It’s Ginger here - just home from two major roadtrips with Melissa. Last week we attended the SAAS (State Associations of Addiction Services) in Chicago, only to turn around and head to Williamsburg, Virginia to attend the VSIAS (The Virginia Summer Institute of Addiction Studies). The SAAS is a nationwide conference for executives in the addiction service field and the workshops were geared toward management issues. We met a broad spectrum of addiction service providers and others who work to make sure employees and staff are kept up to date on how to best serve their clients. And I even ran into my next door neighbor from Charlottesville!
