Do I have to be in recovery or can I be unsure if I need to be?
You do NOT have to be in recovery to join TSR. You are welcome no matter where you stand on your life's road. Check out our assessment tests for alcohol and drug use and find your place along The Second Road.
Do I have to be in a 12 Step recovery program to join TSR?
No. We invite all views and opinions from our members as to what works for them in their personal road of recovery.
However, because the majority of our members are in 12 step recovery programs, you will likely hear familiar terms and phrases from those programs.
How can I be sure my anonymity is protected where I want it to be?
We have done our best to ensure that your privacy and anonymity is protected (see Privacy Policy and Terms of Use), but we can never guarantee one hundred percent security due to the nature of the internet-The Federal Trade Commission provides useful information about online privacy on its own Web site, 'Site Seeing on the Internet'
Read our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to review our policies regarding this topic.
What do I do if I'm uncomfortable with something I've read?
First, check with yourself to determine if your reaction is based on your own internal issues or whether there is truly something that violates our policies and 'respect' clause on the site.
Second, you can flag posts to the "Sharing Wall" if they do not meet TSR's standards. See "Monitors and Rules" in "Who We are and How We Operate."
Third, you can call or email us with a concern, but please be patient if we can't immediately respond as we are a small team managing a large site.
